The research indicates that breast cancer patients who convert from clinically node-positive to node-negative after neoadjuvant chemotherapy do not require axillary lymph node dissection. Less invasive surgical staging procedures were found to be non-inferior in terms of three-year outcomes, irrespective of tumor type or initial stage.
